Her Latest and Greatest

Okay, I know, I'm lousy at keeping up with new pics. Here's some of our precious pearl's latest and greatest!

Mini Olympics

Our boys our quickly wrapping up school and with that comes all sorts of fun activities. Here are just a couple pics of the Mini Olympics that involves the entire school broken down into small groups with a 7th grade leader and the 8th graders running the events. Noah, Gideon and Tristan had a blast!

It IS a girl!!

On Friday, May 1, 2009 our little "precious pearl" (Tehya Etta) made her appearance at Holland Hospital at 6:06pm weighing in at 7lbs 15oz. and 21 inches long. She arrived after an induction beginning at 7:30am with cytotec (which didn't do much of anything), water breaking by Dr. Gerard shortly after lunch (which still didn't do much) and finally really starting labor with Oxytocyn around 2pm. I truly began to question my grand plans of a natural labor and delivery (like Gideon & Tristan's) in the final hour (around 5pm). Thanks to my wonderful coach (Kev) and assistant coaches (my parents) I made it to the end (not without a few 'I don't think I can do this anymore!') Kevin's and my first response when Dr. Gerard held up little Teyha Etta Maureen Sall? "It IS a girl!!" I guess I wasn't the only one who was a bit of a doubting Thomas when it came to the ultrasound technician telling us in December that she couldn't find anything. :)

It has been an amazing transition for the Sall family and the boys have taken to Tehya like a duck to water. They love her! After Wyatt's initial hesitation to have anything to do with her, the second time he saw her he was 'in love.' Now, I find him very close by and always ready to 'I hold her' or kiss the top of her head. The other boys dote on her and have willing arms ready and waiting to get in their fair share of holding too.

She is truly our FIFTH miracle and we are all thrilled to have her added to our family. We find we have to remind ourselves that we are a family of seven. But we wouldn't have it any other way!!

Loving the chaos,
Kevin and Christine
Noah, Gideon, Tristan, Wyatt and Teyha

Enjoy the pics!

Our New Nephew!!

This past Saturday morning, I, Christine had the honor and privilege of witnessing little Christian Martin Heene take his first breaths. God truly is an amazing Creator! Christian is a perfect example of his intricate handiwork. Hope you enjoy looking at the pics as I did taking many of them.

Our Halloween Hooligans! :)

Our Halloween started off rather hectically when I went down to the basement at 5pm on October 31st and realized that ALL of the Halloween costumes were in storage in Dorr! My first thought was PANIC! What the heck are these kids going to where! Then I took a deep breath and began to problem solve, something we are desperately attempting to teach our kids to do. I began to think of all the hats and tools and such that I could use to "create" a few costumes but quickly realized it was going to take a trip to the Salvation Army Thrift Store to really pull something off. As I backed slowly out of the driveway, I suddenly had this thought: "Wait, what about our neighbors? They have boys. Perhaps, they could help me out! BINGO!! So what you see in these pics is a compilation of what we already owned and our wonderful neighbors, pitching in to save the day! The kids had a blast and were completely oblivious to Mom's earlier PANIC! :)
